PS Plus April 2026 Games Announced: Lords of the Fallen, Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered, and Sword Art Online Fractured Daydream Headline Lineup
April 3, 2026Sony has revealed that April 2026’s PlayStation Plus monthly games are Lords of the Fallen (PS5), Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered (PS4/5), and Sword Art Online Fractured Daydream (PS5), available to all PS Plus subscribers from 7 April to 4 May.
Sony officially announced that the PlayStation Plus April 2026 games lineup will include three titles: Lords of the Fallen (PS5), Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered (PS4/5), and Sword Art Online Fractured Daydream (PS5). These titles will be available to PlayStation Plus Essential, Extra, and Premium members from Tuesday, 7 April 2026 to Monday, 4 May 2026.
Lords of the Fallen, a dark fantasy action RPG developed by Hexworks, struggled at launch with performance issues and a lack of gameplay refinement compared to genre leaders, with Eurogamer’s review stating, “Missing the elegance of FromSoftware, Lords of the Fallen is let down by Soulslike clichés and performance woes.” However, subsequent updates have improved the game’s performance and stability, bringing it to a much better state than players experienced at launch. Notably, publisher CI Games announced in 2024 that a sequel to Lords of the Fallen is in development.
The lineup also includes Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered, a carefully updated collection of the original trilogy for both PS4 and PS5. This remaster preserves the iconic control scheme and feel of the 1990s classics, while modernising graphics. In Eurogamer’s review, Christian Donlan wrote: “I still love this collection, because it’s carefully made and lovingly updated, but also awkward, elbowy, frustrating and prone to leaving me stuck. It’s a collection that understands that Tomb Raider was absolutely a game about its controls, and it still should be – even if it doesn’t quite know how to deliver on that.”
The third title is Sword Art Online Fractured Daydream (PS5), an action RPG based on the popular Sword Art Online anime and light novel series. This multiplayer-focused entry offers online co-op and PvP gameplay in a new parallel world scenario, providing fans with a fresh experience set apart from previous SAO titles.

Critical Reception and Notable Features
At launch, Lords of the Fallen received mixed reviews, with performance and design shortcomings noted by major outlets. Eurogamer’s two-star review concluded, “Missing the elegance of FromSoftware, Lords of the Fallen is let down by Soulslike clichés and performance woes.” However, recent patches from developer Hexworks have addressed key issues and player feedback, resulting in a more stable and enjoyable experience. Publisher CI Games has confirmed that a sequel is in active development as of 2024, signalling long-term investment in the franchise.
For Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered, Eurogamer praised the meticulous effort in restoration, stating, “It’s carefully made and lovingly updated, but also awkward, elbowy, frustrating and prone to leaving me stuck. It’s a collection that understands that Tomb Raider was absolutely a game about its controls, and it still should be, even if it doesn’t quite know how to deliver on that.” While some control issues persist, the collection is considered faithful to the original vision.
Sword Art Online Fractured Daydream brings online multiplayer action to the Sword Art Online universe, letting players team up or compete in various game modes. The game’s release on PS Plus expands access to the anime’s fanbase and introduces new players to its narrative-driven gameplay.
