Miami Heat Confirm One-Night Vice City GTA VI Event for November 18
October 4, 2026Miami’s GTA VI crossover will feature a Vice City identity, special court, new uniform and arena activations one night before the game’s scheduled launch.
The Miami Heat’s announced Grand Theft Auto VI crossover is a one-night game presentation, not an announced permanent franchise name change. The team will stage A Night In Vice City at Kaseya Center on November 18, 2026, when Miami hosts the Milwaukee Bucks.
The game is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. ET and air on ESPN, according to the Heat’s 2026-27 regular-season schedule announcement. It takes place one day before Rockstar Games’ scheduled November 19 release of GTA VI.
What the Miami Heat have confirmed
The official A Night In Vice City event page presents the crossover as a special November 18 event in which the Heat will appear as Vice City. Its one-night framing does not support claims of a lasting legal, league or franchise-wide rebrand.
For the Bucks game, the team has confirmed:
- a special basketball court built for the Vice City presentation;
- a new, reimagined uniform;
- special game-night activities and arena activations; and
- Vice City merchandise.
The full uniform and finished court design have not been revealed. The announcement also does not establish specific colors, logos, retail availability or other design details, so unofficial mock-ups should not be treated as confirmed images.
Why the event is happening on November 18
Rockstar’s official game page identifies Vice City as part of GTA VI’s fictional state of Leonida and lists November 19, 2026, as the release date. The Heat event is therefore scheduled for the night before the game’s planned launch.
The campaign was visible at the arena before the game presentation was detailed. In September, CBS News Miami reported that its helicopter observed crews installing a large Welcome to Vice City rooftop display at Kaseya Center. The outlet reported that the commercial terms behind the display were not publicly clear at that time.
The team event is also separate from Miami Beach’s GTA VI campaign negotiations. Those public-sector discussions concerned authorization to negotiate possible promotional activity, while the Heat have publicly announced a specific game and arena presentation.
What has not been announced
The available announcements do not show the finished jersey or court, identify the activities planned for ticket holders, or confirm performers, in-game integrations or appearances by Rockstar representatives. They also do not disclose the partnership’s value, payment arrangements or broader commercial terms.
What is confirmed is narrower: Miami will host Milwaukee at Kaseya Center on November 18 and use a Vice City presentation for that game. GTA VI remains scheduled for release the following day.
