Fallout Day 2026 announcements: World Pets date and what is available now

The Fallout Day 2026 announcements are easier to follow when split by timing: two Fallout 4 Creations are available now, Fallout 76’s World Pets update arrives on December 1, and a Prime Video competition series follows in January. Bethesda also opened a time-limited Nuka-Cola flavor vote and confirmed a live Washington, D.C., event for 2027.

Bethesda presented the news through a week-long Fallout Day celebration. Here is the practical rundown of what players can access now, what has a firm date and what remains a longer-range plan.

Fallout Day 2026 announcements at a glance

• Available now: The Fallout 4 Creations Command Override and FEVer Dreams.
• October 31: Voting closes for the three Project T.W.I.S.T. Nuka-Cola flavor candidates.
• December 1: The World Pets update is due to arrive in Fallout 76.
• January 13: Fallout Shelter: The Experiment premieres exclusively on Prime Video.
• During 2027: Bethesda plans to hold a live Fallout Day event in Washington, D.C.

Two Fallout 4 Creations are available now

Bethesda says two new Fallout 4 Creations, Command Override and FEVer Dreams, are available now. They are Creations rather than newly announced first-party Fallout 4 expansions.

The roundup does not specify pricing, platform availability or installation requirements for Command Override. Players should consult the relevant Creation listing before attempting to install or purchase either release.

Fallout 76 World Pets arrives December 1

The official World Pets overview announcement and trailer give the Fallout 76 update a December 1, 2026, release date. Bethesda’s Fallout Day roundup says players will be able to take Cats, Dogs, Radhogs and domesticated Deathclaws beyond their C.A.M.P.s. The update is also set to include a refreshed Skyline Valley region.

According to How To Video Game’s report on Bethesda’s trailer, the companion system includes pet customization, attack, defend and follow commands, and perks that can be unlocked through progression.

Bethesda has not established a specific launch time, simultaneous timing across every platform or Atomic Shop requirements in the materials cited here. Those details should not be assumed from the December 1 date alone.

Hideouts are not part of the immediate World Pets announcement

Hideouts have appeared alongside World Pets in Public Test Server coverage, but Bethesda has not confirmed them for the December update. Its October 15 PTS update says Hideouts are currently planned for spring 2027. Bethesda also cautions that PTS content can change and is not guaranteed to ship as tested.

Fallout Shelter: The Experiment starts January 13

Fallout Shelter: The Experiment will arrive exclusively on Prime Video on January 13, 2027. It is a competition series, not a newly announced scripted season of the existing Fallout television series.

Nerdist reports that the 10 episodes will be released in three batches: four episodes on January 13, three on January 20 and the final three on January 27.

The game itself is also due to receive more Seasons, including content inspired by The Experiment. Bethesda says an adoptable Baby Deathclaw pet is coming soon, but it has not announced a specific release date.

The Nuka-Cola Twist vote closes October 31

Fans can vote in Project T.W.I.S.T. through October 31, 2026. The Bethesda and Jones Soda promotion asks players to choose among three possible Nuka-Cola Twist flavors: Strawberry Lemonade, Watermelon Dragon Fruit and Pink Bubblegum.

That is the most immediate deadline in the Fallout Day announcements. The vote opened on October 21 and closes before the World Pets update arrives in December.

A live Fallout Day event is planned for Washington, D.C.

Bethesda also plans to celebrate Fallout Day live in Washington, D.C., for the first time in 2027. The announcement does not include a precise date, venue, program or ticket details, so there is nothing to book yet.

For players, the useful order is straightforward: the two Fallout 4 Creations are available now, the Nuka-Cola vote closes October 31, World Pets follows on December 1, and Fallout Shelter: The Experiment premieres January 13.
