February 6, 2024 Off By Ibraheem Adeola

The release date for the newest DLC guest character, Peacemaker, has been announced by NetherRealm, the developer known for its thrilling franchise.

Mortal Kombat 1 Peacemaker Release Date

The official Mortal Kombat Twitter account has revealed that Peacemaker will be introduced on February 28th for early access. The new season of the game is also expected to launch around the same time, with a longer duration than previous seasons. More information about the DLC character and upcoming season will be announced later this month. Typically, players who have bought Kombat Pack 1 are given early access to the DLC characters in Mortal Kombat 1 for around a week. This implies that Peacemaker will likely be available for all players to purchase by approximately March 7th.

Kombat Pack 1 offers the opportunity to play as Peacemaker and presents a variety of other powerful characters such as Omni-Man from Invincible and Homelander from The Boys. It is worth mentioning that the version of Peacemaker in Mortal Kombat 1 is based on John Cena’s portrayal in the DC Extended Universe, with his voice and appearance seamlessly incorporated into the game.

Nevertheless, despite the enthusiasm surrounding the release of the DLC, there is a conspicuous lack of information about crossplay support for Mortal Kombat 1. Despite previous promises from NetherRealm about crossplay support for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X and S being available in February, there has been no update regarding the Nintendo Switch version.

Since its release in September 2023, Mortal Kombat 1 has gained significant popularity with over three million copies sold. However, the game has received criticism from its player base regarding its approach to monetization, communication problems, and lack of updates. Nonetheless, NetherRealm is determined to provide story downloadable content and has hinted at an exciting surprise in the future. Excitement is undoubtedly brewing as the Mortal Kombat universe prepares to welcome Peacemaker into its roster of iconic fighters. Stay tuned for more updates as we inch closer to the electrifying release date!
