AC Valhalla: Dawn of Ragnarok: How to start, how long to beat & Rumours

AC Valhalla: Dawn of Ragnarok: How to start, how long to beat & Rumours

March 15, 2022 Off By Ibraheem Adeola

Since the release of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Ubisoft has gone to greater lengths to depict the Norse world and mythology in much detail. Between the original game and the DLCs, players were able to explore various aspects of the Norse realm. Meaning, from the Viking invasion of Western Europe to Asgard’s final days. This exploration will continue now that Ubisoft has released Assassin’s Creed Valhalla: Dawn of Ragnarok.

Ragnarok is the most important event in Norse mythology. It’s an apocalyptic battle that kills most of the major Norse gods and sees the world destroyed and reborn in a massive flood. Dawn Of Ragnarok is the third and final DLC of AC: Valhalla, alongside Wrath of the Druids and The Siege of Paris. The event in AC Valhalla: Dawn of Ragnarok takes place in Svartalfheim, the Norse mythological home of the dark elves/dwarves. The DLC adds new abilities to AC: Valhalla, as well as a new quest that expands the game’s world.

Despite prior delays for Valhalla’s post-release content, Ubisoft has reaffirmed its long-term commitment to the game. Assassin’s Creed Valhalla has become the “second largest profit-generating game in Ubisoft history” in less than a year. This is according to the company’s financial report. Additional contents will only help to further the game’s success, which Ubisoft will undoubtedly flaunt until the next Assassin’s Creed game is released. The Dawn of Ragnarok DLC places Eivor in the realm of Svartalfheim and grants access to a variety of new skills and tools. Based on the title, the Norse version of Armageddon is most certainly a significant change in the game’s setting.

How To Start The Dawn Of Ragnarok Quest

In case it’s the first time playing Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla, players will be given the option to choose between “Valhalla” or “Dawn of Ragnarok.”. Choosing the Dawn of Ragnarok experience will enable players to play the quest without having to play through Valhalla’s story first. Therefore, whatever experience or level players gain in Dawn of Ragnarok can not be transferred to the Valhalla experience. Kind of ‘whatever happens in Dawn of Ragnarok stays in Dawn Of Ragnarok’. Moreover, Players are limited to Svartalfheim when starting with Dawn of Ragnarok. This means that gear and weapons will be predetermined to meet the “requirements” equivalent to the difficulty level of Ragnarok.

Existing players with level 340 can simply load their save files and start working towards the new DLC content. Moreover, players that meet the level requirement must first complete the “Restless Dreams” quest before heading to Svartalfheim. Fortunately, regardless of the player’s Power Level, the “Restless Dreams” quest can still be done.

To execute the “Restless Dreams” you need to

  • Visit and talk to Valka in Ravensthorpe, but make sure her Hut is built beforehand
  • Find and bring Valka the mistletoe she requires for the Ritual.
  • Place the mistletoe at the designated locations around the ritual circle.
  • Walk towards the middle of the circle to begin the Dawn of Ragnarok

In case the required level for Dawn of Ragnarok is below 340, players will be given the option to use a progression boost. The progression boost will raise Eivor’s level to 340 and further grant a special set of Mythical-quality gear. Keep in mind that this boost is only to access Dawn of Ragnarok and will return to normal once the quest is done.

How Long To Beat Dawn Of Ragnarok

The Dawn of Ragnarok DLC is huge enough to be considered a separate game. It’s a 15-gigabyte download that includes a brand-new large map. Dawn of Ragnarok has approximately 35 hours of content, according to Ubisoft Montreal. However, whether or not this figure is true is totally dependent on the player’s approach to the game. There is enough gameplay in the expansion to achieve that hour mark, but only if the player intends to complete it entirely. However, if players are simply interested in the main story, they can expect to finish in 10 to 12 hours.

Assassin’s Creed Infinity – Rumors

According to the game’s publisher who stated that Assassin’s Creed Infinity, will “guide, grow, evolve, and define the future of Assassin’s Creed.” – gamerant . The language used in the leaks suggests that the next Assassin’s Creed game will be the final one. There is a lot of information regarding Assassin’s Creed Infinity in the most recent official Ubisoft AC releases. Moreover, a lot of it will come as a shock to long-time fans since it will be a far bigger shift than merely switching from action to role-playing.

The goal of this game appears to be the series’ final instalment. However, according to Jason Schreier, the game will have several settings with the opportunity to grow after its launch. Therefore, future enhancements will be released as expansions rather than independent games, which might be beneficial to players’ wallets. Moreover, this will allow the tale to continue with a broader storyline to develop beyond its current wacky condition.

Assassin’s Creed Infinity will also be presented in a live service format. Recent Ubisoft additions have been famous for requiring online play even in single-player games. Therefore, it’s quite certain that Assassin’s Creed Infinity will only formalize that dependency. Multiplayer modes have already appeared in Assassin’s Creed games, so it might be as simple as a few charming PvPvE maps or could be something more. Until then, fingers crossed!

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla: Dawn Of Ragnarok is available on Amazon Lune, PC, PlayStation 4 & 5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
