Confirmed Street Fighter 6 Characters Roster
Ryu
Ryu, whom every Street Fighter lover would know very well, is confirmed to be returning. According to the Street Fighter official site, his bio states the following:
Ever training, this martial artist seeks true strength. Well-mannered and sincere, Ryu travels the globe in search of worthy opponents. Having overcome the Satsui no Hado, he now seeks yet greater heights.
Ryu continues to grow as a fighter and doesn’t think his journey is yet done. His regular gi has been modified to include a kasaya, a Buddhist robe, which he now wears – just like his master, Gouken, wears it. Ryu’s role in Street Fighter 6 is currently unknown, however, we do know he hates spiders but loves martial arts.
Kimberly
Kimberly is a student of a ninja called Guy (the man from Street Fighter Alpha and Final Fight) and the newest ninja character to be added to the Street Fighter franchise. Here is what her bio states:
Uninvited student to Guy, the 39th successor to Bushinryu. Kimberly had an ordinary upbringing, but she’s a genuine prodigy who graduated college early…and now wants to be a ninja. Loves ’80s pop culture.
Kimberly is a die-hard fan of the 80’s music, sneakers, and large numbers, but hates tear-jerker movies.
Juri
Juri first made her appearance in Street Fighter IV and according to her bio on Street Fighter’s official website which states – “This sadistic thrillseeker enjoys the strife and suffering of others, taking immense joy in obliterating her foes. Without revenge against M. Bison as a motivator, she whiles away her time in a gloomy haze.“
Juri despises buzzkills and abiding by rules, and unlike Ryu, she loves spiders and motorcycles.
Luke
Luke’s brief bio in Street Fighter 5 gives some background on his desire to join the military. Following his decision to leave the military, Luke now takes up a role as a contractor for a private military company in Street Fighter 6. His bio states:
A contractor for a PMC, Luke uses his elite military background to teach mixed martial arts. His days off are spent eating junk food, playing video games, and fighting, but make no mistake—Luke plays to win.
He enjoys travelling, wearing wacky t-shirts, and PC games – but despises horror games.
Jamie
Jamie is the first fresh new Street Fighter 6 character to be revealed. He fights with a lot of visual flair and style, performing acrobatic spins and kicking with incredible swagger – thanks to his Drunken Fist fighting style. Check out his bio:
This self-styled Chinatown peacekeeper aspires to the example set by Yun and Yang, the Twin Dragons. An expert dancer, Jamie places justice and friendship above all else, defending his town with martial skill.
Jamie hates arrogance and getting lectured but loves Yun, Yang, dancing, and his grandmother.
Ken
Ken’s appearance in Street Fighter 6 is significantly different from the previous time we saw him. To keep things interesting, Ken uses his variety of target combos, fire-infused dragon punches, and more unique moves. Let’s take a quick peek at his bio:
Former US National Fighting Champ, and ex-VP of the Masters Foundation. Accusations of orchestrating a criminal plot have forced Ken to abandon his family and business and go into hiding.
Ken is never a fan of pointless meetings but adores his family very much.
Blanka
The kindhearted defender of nature is back for Street Fighter 6 – and this time he will be wearing a denim blue jumpsuit. Moreover, Blanka’s Street Fighter 2 battleground is also returning, featuring a giant tree with a large serpent-like figure wrapped around it. Here is a little light on Blanka’s bio:
A kindhearted defender of nature, Blanka has become an adventure tour guide, confident his intimate knowledge of the jungle will serve as a springboard to fame—and a comfortable life for his beloved mother.
Blanka loves Samantha and his Blanka-chan dolls, however, dislikes Army ants.
Chun-Li
Just like Ryu, Chun-Li probably needs no formal introduction. She’s indeed the queen of all fighting games out there. Her signature massive and fast kicks have always been iconic in the previous instalments, and Street Fighter 6 would not be different. Here is her bio:
A former high-kicking ICPO agent, Chun-Li looks after Li-Fen, a victim of the Black Moon Incident. With Shadaloo sundered, she now runs kung fu classes and has become a well-loved member of the local community.
Chun-Li is not a fan of crime and indecisiveness but loves shopping with Li-Fen (one of the victims of the Black Moon Incident in Street Fighter 5) and days off – who doesn’t?
Guile
Guile, the family man of the Street Fighter franchise, is back in Street Fighter 6 – and never leaves his iconic hair behind. Let’s take a look at his bio:
A US Air Force pilot who fights for his country, Guile succeeded in dismantling Shadaloo and avenging his friend Charlie. He enjoys living the family man life, but new battlefields await him.
Guile loves dog walking and watching sports, however, he despises layabouts and secretive people.
Dhalsim
Dhalsim returns in Street Fighter 6, and it seems his appearance would remain unchanged from the last time we saw him. However, it does look like he will be having a change in his battleground in India, featuring a golden statue in the background. Let’s find out more about him in the bio below:
A monk and yoga master from India who has served as a guide for countless suffering souls. Prefers to avoid conflict when possible, but his innate hatred of evil compels him to dispense stern justice.
Dhalsim despises distractions but enjoys meditation. He also likes to stay out of conflicts, but his inborn hatred of evil pushes him to administer harsh justice to those deserving of it.
E. Honda
The legendary sumo wrestler debuts in Street Fighter 6 wearing brand-new attire in addition to his regular sumo garb. Honda’s renowned “Hundred Hand Slap” now includes an animation designed to knock the opponent unconscious. Here is his bio:
A sumo wrestler looking to bring the sport worldwide, E. Honda has the skills of a yokozuna, but his constant globetrotting has prevented his promotion. Also an expert chef renowned for mouthwatering chanko stew.
Honda loves taking baths but hates indecisiveness.
