Hellblade 2 Release Date

During the super exciting Xbox Developer Direct, Ninja Theory dropped some major news for all the fans out there. Get ready to circle May 21, 2024, on your calendars because that’s when Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 finally hits the scene. And guess what? It’s gonna be exclusive to Xbox Series X/S consoles and PC. Oh, and did we mention it’ll also be available on Game Pass from day one? Woohoo!

Hellblade 2 is gonna cost you $49.99 and it’s only gonna be available as a digital download (digital release). The folks at Xbox Wire confirmed this in a blog post after the Direct. It’s gonna be about the same length as the first game, but with a cool twist – they’re using a new motion capture studio to make it super realistic. And to really get you into the game, they’ve got binaural audio, so make sure you put on your headphones for the full experience.

Senua’s Saga 2: Storyline

senua's saga: hellblade 2 is coming

So basically, the game is all about Senua trying to save her people from those Vikings in Iceland. Along the way, she’s gonna face her fears and fight these super tough Draugr dudes. Moreover, the combat system has gotten a serious upgrade, so get ready for some crazy intense and heart-pounding survival action. Ninja Theory deserves a shoutout for keeping it real when it comes to portraying mental health. They teamed up with Professor Paul Fletcher and people who have actually experienced psychosis to make sure they got it right. The first Hellblade game was a big hit for its raw portrayal of mental health, so you can bet Hellblade 2 has got fans super excited.

Way back in 2019, they first dropped the news about Hellblade 2 at The Game Awards. But it wasn’t until 2021 that they finally showed us some gameplay. Fans have been hyped up about this game ever since. They’re promising top-notch tech, an epic story, and intense combat. It’s gonna be a big deal for Xbox, no doubt about it.
