SONIC PICO PARK will launch for Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 on November 12, 2026. A trailer covered by Nintendo Life reports Silver the Hedgehog and Blaze the Cat as newly revealed playable characters.

Nintendo has separately confirmed the release date for both Switch generations, along with local or online support for two to eight players.

Silver and Blaze join the reported roster

Nintendo Life reports that the new trailer reveals Silver and Blaze as playable characters. That roster update is the latest news ahead of launch, but the available evidence does not establish whether either character has unique abilities or a distinct role in the puzzles.

The distinction matters because SONIC PICO PARK is not presented as a conventional solo Sonic platformer. The official SONIC PICO PARK website classifies it as a “cooperative action puzzle” game for two to eight players.

What kind of Sonic game is SONIC PICO PARK?

The crossover combines PICO PARK’s cooperative puzzle format with recognizable Sonic mechanics and stage elements. An official announcement from SEGA and PICO PARK Inc. says every playable character can use Spin Dash and confirms that rings, loops and springs appear in the game.

For prospective groups, the important detail is the flexible player count. Nintendo says two to eight people can play locally or online on its platforms, covering both smaller co-op groups and larger sessions.

SONIC PICO PARK release date and platforms

  • Release date: November 12, 2026
  • Nintendo platforms: Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2
  • Player count on Nintendo platforms: Two to eight players locally or online
  • Genre: Cooperative action puzzle

The official game website also lists PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Windows and Steam alongside the two Nintendo editions. That broader platform list comes from the game’s official site rather than Nintendo’s announcement.

The cited official pages do not detail pricing, console cross-play, a Switch-to-Switch 2 upgrade path or Switch 2-specific enhancements. They also do not establish that Silver or Blaze has character-specific puzzle powers.
