Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League might be the key to unlocking secrets

August 4, 2021 Off By TheDashDouble

Batman: Arkham Knight, Rocksteady’s most recent game in the Arkham world, ended the series with an ambiguous conclusion that may ultimately be explained in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. Given that Suicide Squad is set in the Arkham world, it’s not unreasonable to expect some crossover between the various narratives. The actual question is around how Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League portrays some of DC’s most iconic characters as enemies, and what that could mean for Batman’s departure in Arkham Knight. The location of Batman and why Superman appears to be on a murder spree are two major concerns that arise from the game’s title and the themes presented in the game’s teaser trailer.

Arkham Knight, Rocksteady’s final Batman game, has a hidden ending that irritated the majority of players. The “true” ending of the game was buried behind a prolonged hunt for every villain, including the Riddler’s lengthy missions. To further complicate things, this hidden ending still leaves unanswered questions of what really happened to Batman. What is quite common about this is that the explosion was most likely staged as a ploy for Batman to fake his own death, which would explain why he was transformed into a fear toxin version in order to continue fighting crime. Suicide Squad, on the other hand, has the potential to provide gamers with more definite information concerning Batman’s departure. The remainder of the DC Universe will be seen through the eyes of Harley Quinn and Captain Boomerang, who may reveal the impacts of Batman’s absence.

It’s very conceivable that Batman died at the conclusion of Arkham Knight, and that the explosion players witnessed marked the death of this incarnation of Bruce Wayne. When players start up the game with the Suicide Squad characters, they’ll be playing as Batman’s alternative, a plan established by Amanda Waller to compensate for Gotham’s loss of the Caped Crusader. A lack of Batman may also make beating an opponent like Brainiac extremely difficult, as, in most incarnations of the iconic villain, it is his brilliance that wins the day. Regardless, putting Suicide Squad in the Arkham world implies that the plot of this new game may go in any direction at this point.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League will be released for PC, PS5, and XBOX SERIES X, in In 2022.
