Which 13 Ubisoft Xbox Games Unlock a Free PC Copy? Eligibility and Claim Guide

Which 13 Ubisoft Xbox Games Unlock a Free PC Copy? Eligibility and Claim Guide

July 28, 2026 Off

Digital Xbox console owners of 13 selected Ubisoft games can receive a PC version through Ubisoft Connect. Here is who qualifies, where the PC copy appears, when existing owners should receive it, and which content may not transfer.

By Ibraheem Adeola

Digital Xbox console owners of 13 selected Ubisoft games can receive the corresponding PC version at no extra cost. The benefit applies only to the named games and qualifying digital Xbox console ownership, and Xbox directs players to access the PC copy through Ubisoft Connect.

Existing owners may not see the PC entitlement immediately. According to Xbox’s official announcement and FAQ, those copies are being distributed in a progressive rollout through August 4, 2026. Customers making a qualifying digital purchase from July 27, 2026, receive the Xbox console and PC versions immediately.

What the Ubisoft Xbox-to-PC benefit includes

The benefit gives qualifying digital Xbox console owners access to the PC version of a selected Ubisoft game. It is separate from another change announced on July 27, which made selected Ubisoft premium editions and add-on content available to buy through the Xbox PC app.

For the free entitlement covered by this guide, Xbox directs players to the Ubisoft Connect PC library. The announcement does not describe a separate code-redemption process or tell players to claim the free copy through the Xbox PC app. The benefit also works in only one direction. Xbox’s FAQ states: “No, you can only claim a free PC version, not the other way around.” Owning the PC version therefore does not grant a free Xbox console copy.

Why this should not be called Xbox Play Anywhere

Xbox does not label this benefit Xbox Play Anywhere. The official description instead presents it as a selected, one-way Ubisoft entitlement accessed through Ubisoft Connect, and it explicitly rules out a reverse PC-to-console entitlement. It should therefore not be described as a reciprocal cross-buy program or a universal Ubisoft ownership benefit. Ownership entitlements are also different from multiplayer compatibility. Xbox and Windows PC Store crossplay is not the same thing as cross-buy, and neither term by itself establishes whether saves, progression, currencies or add-ons transfer.

All 13 Ubisoft Xbox games eligible for a free PC copy

You may qualify if you own the digital Xbox console version of one of these games:

  • Assassin’s Creed Mirage
  • Assassin’s Creed Valhalla
  • Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora
  • Far Cry 6
  • Immortals Fenyx Rising
  • Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown
  • Riders Republic
  • Skull and Bones
  • The Crew 2
  • The Crew Motorfest
  • Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Extraction
  • Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege
  • Watch Dogs Legion

This list comes directly from Xbox’s official FAQ. The announcement does not extend the benefit to every Ubisoft game available on Xbox.

Eligibility checklist

  • The game must be one of the 13 titles listed above.
  • You must own a digital Xbox console version. Xbox specifically identifies digital ownership. Its announcement does not say that a physical disc qualifies.
  • Qualifying new purchases receive both versions immediately. This applies to eligible digital purchases made from July 27, 2026.
  • Existing owners may need to wait for the rollout. Xbox says their PC versions are being distributed progressively through August 4, 2026.
  • The entitlement works from Xbox console to PC only. A PC purchase does not unlock an Xbox console version.

Xbox has not explained whether every regional store variation, historical bundle or previously delisted edition is covered. The official announcement also does not specify regional, age-rating or account-linking restrictions. Those cases cannot be confirmed from the published FAQ.

How to claim or find the Ubisoft PC version

  1. Install or update Ubisoft Connect for PC.
  2. Open your Ubisoft Connect PC library and look for the eligible game.
  3. If the game appears, select it and open its Properties page.
  4. Review the edition name and the listed DLC or add-ons attached to the account.
  5. If you owned the digital Xbox version before July 27, allow for the progressive rollout through August 4, 2026.

Xbox describes qualifying players as receiving the PC version and directs them to check Ubisoft Connect. It does not provide instructions for entering a redemption code or completing a separate claim in the Xbox PC app.

Do premium editions and DLC transfer to PC?

For most qualifying games, Xbox says the edition and DLC owned on Xbox will transfer to the PC version. The word “most” is important: the announcement does not guarantee an identical content entitlement for every game, edition and account. Consumable items, including in-game currency and one-time-use content, may not transfer. Separately, Xbox says currencies and consumables are excluded from the selected add-on content newly offered for purchase through the Xbox PC app. The announcement does not provide a game-by-game cross-progression table. Finding an edition or DLC on a game’s Ubisoft Connect Properties page confirms what the PC account displays, but it does not establish that saves, character progress or every non-consumable item will behave identically across all 13 games.

Why the PC copy may not be visible yet

During the stated rollout window, an existing owner may simply be waiting for the progressive distribution to reach the account. Update Ubisoft Connect, check the PC library, and inspect the game’s Properties page if the title appears. The benefit may also be unavailable because the game is not one of the 13 selected titles or because the Xbox copy does not meet the stated digital-console ownership requirement. Xbox does not say that physical-disc ownership qualifies. If an otherwise qualifying PC version remains absent after August 4, 2026, the announcement does not provide enough information to determine whether a regional purchase, bundle, edition or account-specific issue is responsible.

The short answer

If you own a digital Xbox console version of one of the 13 named Ubisoft games, you can receive its PC version through Ubisoft Connect. Qualifying new purchases from July 27, 2026, receive both versions immediately, while existing owners are included in a progressive rollout through August 4, 2026. For most games, the owned edition and DLC transfer to PC, but consumables such as currency and one-time-use content may not. The entitlement is one-way: owning the PC version does not provide a free Xbox console copy.
