WWE 2K25 Drops John Cena Farewell Tour DLC: New Brock Lesnar, ‘Ron Cena,’ and Mega Pack Shakeup
October 18, 2025WWE 2K25 just released the John Cena Farewell Tour Edition Pack, celebrating his legendary run, and it’s not your average DLC. Priced at $14.99 / £13.49, it arrives with a mix of playable icons, fan-favourite throwbacks, and a few surprises you can’t score with the standard season pass. Here’s what you get in the new pack: Brock Lesnar as a playable character, “Ron Cena” (R-Truth’s comedic alter ego), a special WrestleMania 41 John Cena, and the vintage Dr. of Thuganomics John Cena. Not to mention five farewell tour t-shirt cosmetics, and a starter pot of 15,000 VC.
Everything Inside WWE 2K25’s Farewell Tour, and Where it Fits
If you’re late to the main event, there’s now a Farewell Tour Edition of WWE 2K25 up for grabs. This isn’t just a repackaged base game. It combines the Bloodline Edition, which includes every previously released DLC, and the all-new Cena Farewell Tour pack, at a hefty price of $149.99 / £139.99.
But there’s a catch for dedicated players: the Cena Farewell Tour Pack is not part of the WWE 2K25 Season Pass. The Season Pass, designed for constant content drops, only covers five other DLC packs. Four are available, and each has added some pretty wild crossovers and legends so far.
The first DLC drop, the New Wave Pack, brought in Alex Shelley, Chris Sabin, Stephanie Vaquer, and Giulia. It was supposed to feature a “special celebrity guest,” but plans switched and El Grande Americano took their spot.
Next was the Dunk & Destruction Pack, a true spectacle for wrestling and basketball fans alike. The Great Khali, Abyss, and NBA icons Shaquille O’Neal, Tyrese Haliburton, and Jalen Brunson all joined the playable roster.
Plenty of players still talk about July’s Fearless Pack, which added New Jack, Jordynne Grace, Penta, Bull Nakano, and KSI. Last month, the Attitude Era Superstars Pack hit with pure nostalgia: Road Dogg Jesse James, Badd Ass Billy Gunn, Mark Henry, D’Lo Brown, and Victoria.
One more pack is slated for November: Saturday Night’s Main Event. When it lands, legends Jesse Ventura, Mr Wonderful, Tito Santana, Junk Yard Dog, and Sid Justice will all be unlockable, rounding out this year’s wild run of content.
WWE 2K25: Reception, Reviews, and What’s Actually Worth Your Money

So how does the game itself stack up? Let’s cut to the chase: in their review, VGC called WWE 2K25 “another solid grapple ’em up”. They took a big swipe at the new Island mode, calling out its cynical pay-to-win mechanics, but the verdict was still strong on the rest of the package.
“With a string of improvements across all its existing modes, WWE 2K25 outdoes its predecessor in pretty much every way,” VGC wrote. “The weak link is the new Island mode with its cynical pay-to-win mechanics, but throw a Cena taunt in its face and pretend it doesn’t exist, and you’ll find more than enough elsewhere in the game to keep you entertained for months.”
And if you’re on Nintendo’s Switch 2? There’s more good news: VGC’s Switch 2 review called it the “first great Nintendo wrestling game since the N64 era”. If you want Brock Lesnar, a piece of the Cena legacy, or just the coolest custom tees in the ring, you’ll want this Farewell Tour DLC. Just don’t expect it to be part of the pass you paid for last spring.
WWE 2K25 DLC: The Farewell Tour’s Place Among a Year of Content
The way 2K is breaking out the Farewell Tour Edition Pack signals a shift in their approach. Instead of bundling every new character or feature into a one-and-done season pass, some premium content, like Cena’s last bow, will stand alone. It’s a move sure to spark debate but hard to ignore for longtime fans and completionists. Every new pack this year delivered cross-promotional shockers and nostalgia, but none carry the star power or career sendoff of this latest Cena drop. For old-guard wrestling fans or those wanting the most complete WWE 2K25 experience, it’s a must if your wallet allows.
