Xbox Game Pass Drops Stalker 2 and Frostpunk This November Amid Shock for Players

Xbox Game Pass Drops Stalker 2 and Frostpunk This November Amid Shock for Players

November 4, 2025 Off By Ibraheem Adeola

Five titles are leaving Xbox Game Pass on November 15th, and there are some big names in the mix. If you’ve been putting off a playthrough of Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl or craving just “one more run” in Frostpunk, your window is closing fast.

The full list of games being removed this month includes Football Manager 24, Spirittea, the preview build of Blacksmith Master, Stalker 2, and Frostpunk. After November 15th, these games will no longer be available with your Game Pass subscription, at least for now. There’s always a chance they’ll cycle back in, but no guarantees.

Stalker 2’s Tumultuous Journey Ends Its Game Pass Run Early

Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl is a particularly surprising departure. The game joined Game Pass just last year, debuting alongside its launch on Xbox and PC. But its road to release was anything but smooth. Developer GSC Game World endured multiple delays due to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. Staff were forced to relocate, with some joining Ukraine’s armed forces. The studio was even targeted by Russian hackers who leaked test builds.

Despite it all, GSC shipped Stalker 2 and put out a full documentary capturing the chaotic and harrowing development process. Eurogamer called Heart of Chornobyl a game that “stays faithful to the open world survival shooter of yesteryear.” That old-school vibe is unmistakable, but so is the game’s resilience after such a turbulent journey. For Game Pass players, this survival epic is about to become a whole lot harder to access.

Arguably the most painful loss for city-building and strategy fans, Frostpunk has carved out its own cult following since its 2018 launch. This isn’t your cozy build-and-chill affair, Eurogamer described it as “a thrilling but thin survival twist on the city builder genre, oozing dark charisma and political dilemmas.” Its removal means a genuinely unique hybrid of survival and strategy will soon vanish from the Game Pass library.

Football Manager 24 needs no introduction for simulation enthusiasts, drawing in players chasing promotion glory, or spiraling into midtable mediocrity. Spirittea brings a more laidback, quirky vibe, while the early-access game Blacksmith Master rounds out November’s departing lineup. If you’ve wanted to check out any of these but kept putting it off, this is your wake-up call, after the 15th, it’s back to the full price, or not at all.

With these games cycling out, the Game Pass lineup is shifting under your feet. If you want to know what you’re missing, or what to try next before more titles vanish, you’ll want to scan the latest listings. Check Microsoft’s official library or catch up with the current Xbox Game Pass guide for a full run-down of what’s on offer.
