Disney’s Haunted Mansion Lands in Fortnite, But Not How Fans Expected

Disney’s Haunted Mansion Lands in Fortnite, But Not How Fans Expected

November 6, 2025 Off By Ibraheem Adeola

Haunted Mansion is moving into Fortnite this week, kicking off Disneyland’s big 70th anniversary with a limited-time event. If you’ve ever wanted to tag-team ghosts with Peely or see Fishstick lurking around a familiar spooky stretch room, you’re about to get your wish.

Starting on November 6, the new experience called Disneyland Game Rush lets up to 11 players take on mini-games built around Disneyland’s most celebrated rides. And yes, that includes a full-on nod to the Haunted Mansion.

Disneyland Game Rush: More Than Just the Mansion

The buzz started with a tease on the official Disneyparks Instagram, showing the Mansion’s iconic stretch room artwork with a Fortnite twist. Peely and Fishstick were front and center, captioned with, “This lobby has no windows and no doors”, an unmistakable Haunted Mansion signal. Fans were left wondering if they’d missed a chance for a real Halloween crossover, but it turns out Disney and Epic Games had something else in mind.

This isn’t just a single attraction skin. Disneyland Game Rush acts as a custom-built Fortnite Creative island, meant to be a playful celebration of the park’s 70th birthday. Players start off in a hub styled after Sleeping Beauty Castle, surrounded by a skyline of Disneyland’s greatest hits. From there, you can split off and jump into one of seven quick-play mini-games, each inspired by a Disneyland classic.

Here’s the rundown: Scavenger Haunt channels the Haunted Mansion’s ghostly mischief. Rocket Race leans into the chaos of Space Mountain. There’s the Matterhorn: Slip-and-Climb, Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: Sneak Out, Star Wars: Stormtrooper Showdown, Indiana Jones: Tomb Runner, and WEB-Slingers: Spider-Bot Blasters. It’s a Disneyland mega-mix for Fortnite’s player base, and each mini-game offers a shot at new, zone-specific cosmetics.

Scavenger Haunt: Haunted Mansion’s Spooky Playground

Let’s talk Haunted Mansion. While some fans may have been hoping for a full-scale Mansion recreation, Scavenger Haunt is the official offering here. At first glance, it might not sound like the epic crossover people dreamed of. But new details, and fresh IGN screenshots, prove the experience is packed with familiar creeps: expect waltzing dinner party ghosts and even the legendary hatbox apparition.

If your deep-seated Mansion obsession craves specific Easter eggs, you’ll likely walk away happy. Not to mention, those newly unlocked cosmetics tempt even the most jaded Fortnite veterans. Miss out, and you’ll be haunted by FOMO instead of ghouls.

The Disneyland Game Rush experience is accessible using island code 4617-4819-8826 starting July 6. This isn’t just about short-term fun, either. It’s the first public testing ground ahead of an even bigger Disney-Epic project.

A Tease for Fortnite’s Virtual Theme Park Future

Last February, Disney and Epic announced plans for “an expansive and open games and entertainment universe connected to Fortnite.” Early concept art hints at a full-blown virtual theme park, think Disneyland as an explorable online world for Fortnite fans.

For now, players will have to make do with a limited slice through the Disneyland Game Rush playlist. But the timing and level of detail is no accident. This collaboration is the on-ramp for Fortnite’s blockbuster crossover era, and the best Disneyland rides are just the beginning. Ready to chase ghosts, snag new skins, and race through Disney’s wildest attractions? The stretch goal just got a whole lot closer.
