Wo Long 2 Alpha Demo: How to download it before it ends

Wo Long 2: Wings of Ember will launch worldwide on March 4, 2027, but its Alpha Demo is available for a much shorter period. Players on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC can access the test through September 30, 2026. There is no Nintendo Switch 2 version of the demo, an internet connection is required, and finishing it can unlock a helmet in the full game.
How to download the Wo Long 2 Alpha Demo
The Alpha Demo is available through the PlayStation Store on PS5, the Microsoft Store on Xbox Series X|S and PC, and Steam on PC. The official Team Ninja Alpha Demo page provides the relevant storefront links.
- Open Team Ninja’s official Alpha Demo page.
- Select the store for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Microsoft Store on PC or Steam.
- Download the Alpha Demo using the account you intend to use for the finished game.
- Keep the demo save data if you complete the test and want to claim its full-game reward.
Nintendo Switch 2 is not included in this public test. Team Ninja explicitly says the Alpha Demo is not being distributed for that system, even though the finished game is planned for Switch 2.
When does the Wo Long 2 demo end?
The official availability window ends on September 30, 2026. Steam provides the most precise published cutoff: its official Wo Long 2 listing says the Alpha Demo remains available until 15:00 UTC on September 30.
That exact time comes from Steam and should not automatically be treated as the local console-store cutoff in every region. PS5 and Xbox players should check their storefront listing rather than waiting until the final hours. The Steam listing also states that the demo cannot be played without an internet connection.
What is included in the Alpha Demo?
The test covers part of the early Changban battlefield and includes six usable weapons, including the three-section staff. It also supports online cooperative play for up to three players, according to Team Ninja’s official demo information.
Team Ninja has not confirmed that characters, story progress or other general progress will transfer to the retail game. Players should treat the separately announced completion reward as the only confirmed carry-over benefit.
How to unlock the Fledgling Phoenix Helmet
Completing the Alpha Demo unlocks the Fledgling Phoenix Helmet for use in the full release. The reward has account and save-data conditions: the finished game must be played with the same account on the device holding the completed demo save, as specified by the official Steam listing.
Players who qualify for the reward should therefore retain their demo save data. Downloading or starting the demo is not sufficient by itself; the published requirement is to complete it.
When does Wo Long 2 release?
Wo Long 2: Wings of Ember is scheduled to launch worldwide on March 4, 2027. The full game is planned for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox on PC and Steam. It is also due to be available through Xbox Game Pass from day one, according to Koei Tecmo’s official release announcement.
