Xbox games for October 12–16, 2026: Game Pass, paid releases and a date conflict
October 10, 2026Xbox has confirmed five titles for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass during the October 12–16 release window.
Xbox’s October 12–16, 2026 release slate is easiest to navigate by separating games confirmed for named Game Pass plans from releases carrying a purchase price. Two official Xbox Wire posts also give Beyond These Stars different dates, making that discrepancy the main calendar warning for the week.
Xbox Game Pass games confirmed for the week
Xbox Wire’s tier-specific October announcement confirms the following five games for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. That plan detail matters because a general “Game Pass” label does not establish access through every subscription tier.
- October 13: Deep Dish Dungeon — day one with Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass.
- October 13: Valor Mortis — day one with Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass.
- October 15: Bluey’s Happy Snaps — Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass.
- October 15: Chained Beasts — Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass.
- Beyond These Stars — confirmed for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass, but its date differs between two official Xbox Wire posts.
Xbox Wire’s October Game Pass announcement provides the October 13 dates and day-one status for Deep Dish Dungeon and Valor Mortis. It also lists Bluey’s Happy Snaps, Chained Beasts and Beyond These Stars for October 15.
October 13: Deep Dish Dungeon, Valor Mortis and Planet Zoo 2
Deep Dish Dungeon and Valor Mortis are the first confirmed day-one additions of the week for Ultimate and PC Game Pass. For players choosing where to play, the Deep Dish Dungeon Xbox Store page lists PC, Xbox Series X|S, handheld support, online co-op and Xbox Play Anywhere.
Planet Zoo 2 is also scheduled for October 13. Xbox Wire’s weekly release roundup displays a price of $49.99, and the game is not among the named additions in the supplied October 7 Game Pass announcement. Pricing and availability can vary by region.
October 15: Bluey, Chained Beasts and Castlevania
Bluey’s Happy Snaps and Chained Beasts are listed for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass on October 15. For local family play, the Bluey’s Happy Snaps Xbox Store listing confirms two-player local co-op and says the game has no online play or in-game purchases.
Xbox Wire’s weekly roundup lists Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse for October 15 at $29.99. It is not named in the supplied tier-specific Game Pass announcement, so readers should not interpret the roundup alone as confirmation of subscription access.
Beyond These Stars has conflicting official dates
Xbox Wire’s October 7 Game Pass post lists Beyond These Stars for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass on October 15. The later October 9 weekly roundup instead labels the game for October 16.
The supplied sources do not resolve that discrepancy. Windows Central’s October Game Pass calendar also reports October 15, but that does not eliminate the conflict with Xbox Wire’s later roundup.
If Beyond These Stars is your priority, check its current Xbox Store or Xbox app listing before planning around a specific start time. October 15 is the date in the tier-specific Game Pass calendar, while October 16 is the date in the weekly release roundup.
Modern Warfare 4 is not fully launching on October 16
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 appears in the October 12–16 roundup because campaign early access for pre-orders begins Friday, October 16. Xbox Wire identifies October 23 as the global launch, so October 16 should not be treated as the game’s general release date.
How to plan the Xbox release week
- For Ultimate or PC Game Pass: start with Deep Dish Dungeon or Valor Mortis on October 13, followed by Bluey’s Happy Snaps and Chained Beasts on October 15.
- For listed-price releases: Xbox Wire shows Planet Zoo 2 at $49.99 on October 13 and Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse at $29.99 on October 15.
- For Call of Duty: October 16 marks campaign early access for pre-orders, while the stated global launch is October 23.
- For Beyond These Stars: verify the live Xbox listing because official Xbox Wire posts disagree between October 15 and October 16.
Xbox Wire cautions that release dates are subject to change. For more on why a broad Game Pass label does not always identify the eligible subscription plan, see last week’s Xbox Game Pass vs paid releases guide.
While games are fun, it’s highly important to note that there’s more to life than sitting countless hours playing video games – there’s a purpose and more to life; seek out that purpose more often!
