Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse demo saves will carry over, but Konami has not dated it
September 20, 2026The Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse demo will be available on PS5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X|S and Steam.
Konami has confirmed a playable demo for Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse. The publisher’s official demo page says it will cover the early stages and allow save data to carry into the full game, provided both versions are played on the same platform and account. However, Konami says the demo’s release timing will be announced later.
Video Games Chronicle and Nintendo Life both report an October 1, 2026 launch. Because Konami’s currently accessible page does not publish that date, October 1 should be treated as a reported date rather than one confirmed on Konami’s site.
What the Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse demo includes
Konami posted a “Demo Announced” notice on the official Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse website on September 20, 2026. Its more detailed Japanese-language demo page says players will be able to experience the game’s early stages.
The same page confirms that demo save data can transfer to the full version. It attaches two requirements: players must use the same platform and the same account for the demo and full game. That means the announced transfer feature does not move a demo save from one platform to another.
- Demo content: The early stages of the game
- Save transfer: Demo progress can carry into the full game
- Transfer requirements: The same platform and account must be used
- Demo platforms: PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X|S and Steam
Konami’s platform table also lists a 60 fps frame rate for the demo on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Steam. The Nintendo Switch version is listed at 30 fps.
Is the demo coming out on October 1?

Two publications say it is. Video Games Chronicle and Nintendo Life each report that the demo will arrive on October 1, 2026. Konami’s official demo page currently says only that the distribution date and time will be announced later.
The matching reports make October 1 a date for prospective players to watch, but they do not replace confirmation from Konami. The publisher’s official page also does not provide regional release times.
When does the full game launch?
The full release has an official date. Konami lists Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse for October 15, 2026, two weeks after the date reported for the demo.
Konami’s full-game site lists PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on PC, Nintendo Switch and Steam. That list is broader than the official demo table, which names only PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X|S and Steam.
Players planning to continue from the demo should therefore download it on the platform and account they intend to use for the full game. Konami has confirmed the transfer feature, but its official page has not yet confirmed when the demo can be downloaded.
