EA Sports FC 27’s 10-hour EA Play trial is available to Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass members on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and Xbox on PC. This is a limited trial of the game, not confirmation that the full version has been permanently added to Game Pass.
The allowance is based on the time for which the game is running rather than a 10-hour calendar window after downloading it. That distinction matters because EA says the timer continues to count down if FC 27 is left running in the background.
Who can access the FC 27 trial through Game Pass?
The official Xbox announcement confirms the 10-hour trial for subscribers to Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass on these platforms:

EA separately describes the offer as a 10-hour trial of the Standard Edition. The confirmed access therefore should not be read as unlimited ownership of FC 27 through Game Pass.
The Xbox announcement is specifically about Xbox consoles and Xbox on PC through Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. It does not establish the current availability or access process on every other platform, so players elsewhere should verify the offer through their platform’s storefront.
When did the EA Play trial open?
According to EA’s FC 27 launch update, the EA Play trial opened on September 18, 2026, at 04:00 UTC. The trial became available ahead of the game’s standard worldwide launch.
How the FC 27 trial timer works
The 10-hour allowance is consumed while the game is running, including when it remains open in the background. Closing FC 27 fully after each session is therefore the safest way to preserve the time that remains.

EA also says it cannot add more hours after a trial has run out. Merely switching away from the game without fully quitting it can therefore consume time that cannot later be restored.
Does FC 27 trial progress carry over?
Yes. EA’s Xbox Wire announcement says trial progress carries over if a member buys the full game. The announcement does not detail every mode, progression category or cross-platform transfer scenario. The confirmed promise is that progress from the trial can continue into the purchased full version, not that every type of progress will transfer between different platforms.
How EA Play Pro access differs
EA Play Pro is separate from the capped EA Play trial. EA says EA Play Pro members received full-game access beginning September 17, 2026, at 23:00 UTC. Standard EA Play access is the 10-hour Standard Edition trial instead.
When is the standard FC 27 release?
EA lists the worldwide PC launch for September 24, 2026, at 23:00 UTC. The standard launch on all other platforms is September 25 at 00:00 regional time. Players using the trial before deciding whether to buy should fully quit the game between sessions. Doing so preserves the remaining trial allowance, and any progress made can continue into the full game after purchase.
