Crashes and gameplay issues fixed in Patch 1.1

Bethesda’s official notes list crash fixes involving navigation of the player map, third-person view, the Cheydinhal Fighters Guild and fast travel after leaving Castle Bravil.
The update also addresses crashes in the Kvatch Oblivion realm and several interactions involving bound spells and the Wait function. Bethesda’s full Patch 1.1 notes list eight crash fixes in total.
Outside those stability fixes, the notes identify five additional changes:
- An issue involving random equipment during “Umaril the Unfeathered.”
- Jitter while using Water Walking.
- An out-of-world escape at the Temple of the One.
- The underwater breath bar depleting during loading screens.
- A missing animation for the Lucky Old Lady statue in Bravil during “Honor Thy Mother.”
Bethesda is investigating blur and ghosting reports
Bethesda Support’s notice says the company has received reports of increased image blurring, ghosting and reduced visual quality after Update 1.1. The symptoms described by the support page include image trails, reduced sharpness and flickering.
“We are currently investigating this issue and will update this article when we have more information.”
Bethesda Support
This acknowledges that Bethesda is aware of the reports, but it does not establish their cause, prevalence or severity. It also does not say whether handheld and docked play are affected in the same way or identify particular Switch 2 configurations.
What Switch 2 players should know
Patch 1.1’s confirmed changes are the crash, gameplay and statue-animation fixes listed in Bethesda’s patch notes. Blur, ghosting, reduced sharpness and flickering are not listed as resolved issues.
For now, Bethesda has only said that it is investigating the visual-quality reports. No official mitigation, downgrade option or date for a corrective update appears in the support notice. Players looking for a status change can monitor the Bethesda Support article, which the company says it will update when it has more information.
