Fallout 4: Anniversary Edition Revealed with Mods and Complete Add-Ons, Coming to Switch 2

October 25, 2025 Off By Ibraheem Adeola

Bethesda Game Studios is giving Fallout 4 a full upgrade, nearly a decade after launch. The studio announced Fallout 4: Anniversary Edition, a massive bundle that’s dropping for modern platforms, and, for the first time, will land on the Nintendo Switch 2 in 2026. Digital versions arrive everywhere else on November 10.

This expanded release isn’t just a repackage. Players will get all six official DLCs and over 150 curated Creation Club mods, right in the box. That means new quests, gear, and fan-made content baked into the experience from the start.

Anniversary Bundle: DLC, Mods, and a New Creations Menu

Here’s what sets this version apart. Fallout 4: Anniversary Edition isn’t just another remaster. Bethesda is bundling every single official add-on, from Automatron to Nuka-World, so you can jump straight into the deepest corners of the Commonwealth.

But mods are the real game-changer. Over 150 Creation Club mods are now integrated, building on years of fan creativity and official collaborations. Resources, weapons, cosmetic tweaks, and full-blown questlines it’s all part of the base experience now, not just for PC players, but for consoles as well.

The studio is making them easier than ever to use. According to Bethesda, the new release introduces an in-game Creations menu, letting you browse, discover, and download from a library of curated community and professional content without ever leaving your game. That’s a first for the series, and a nod to how mod-driven the community has become.

“Whether you’re a longtime Sole Survivor or a newcomer to the wasteland, the Anniversary Edition is the definitive way to experience Fallout 4,” Bethesda said in the official announcement.

Why Now? Next-Gen Updates and Fallout’s Streaming Surge

This isn’t Bethesda’s first Fallout 4 upgrade. The company already rolled out a graphics overhaul for next-gen consoles last year, adding new visual options to bring the ageing RPG closer to today’s standards.

The move to launch the Anniversary Edition now lines up perfectly with Fallout’s resurgence. Amazon is set to kick off season two of its live-action Fallout show in December, taking fans deeper into the Mojave Wasteland and the ruins of New Vegas. The show’s first season made a huge impression, and Bethesda is clearly riding the hype to reintroduce its classic games to new audiences.

This broader push extends Fallout 4 to places it’s never been before, including the Nintendo Switch 2, set for release in 2026. Until then, PlayStation and Xbox owners, from last-gen to current, plus PC players, will get the Anniversary Edition digitally starting November 10.

Bethesda hasn’t announced any physical release or collector’s extras yet. But for newcomers and returning fans alike, this is the most complete Fallout 4 package ever assembled, ready to meet the new generation of wasteland wanderers head on.
