Far Cry 6 Secret Ending, PC System Requirements and Vaas Cameo Explained

Far Cry 6 Secret Ending, PC System Requirements and Vaas Cameo Explained

October 12, 2021 Off By Ibraheem Adeola

Please be aware that this article includes spoilers for Far Cry 6’s secret or alternate ending.

The Far Cry series has made it a tradition to include a secret ending for gamers to discover. In the early phases of both Far Cry 4 and Far Cry 5, there were secret endings. If the player chose to go in the opposite direction of what was expected of them, these endings effectively finished the game early. This isn’t any different in Far Cry 6, however, the ending is not as early as it was in previous games. In fact, it’s very easy to miss this secret ending despite being clearly stated as an option.

Far Cry 6 revolves around Dani Rojas’ quest to free the island of Yara from the grip of ruthless dictator Anton Castillo. The secret ending, on the other hand, depicts what would have happened if Dani had taken a little different route and axed the entire mission instead. Far Cry 6 starts off by introducing Dani (the main character), his unfortunate friends, the Island of Yara, and the ruthless dictator Anton Castillo.

How To Activate The Secret Ending In Far Cry 6

Following the 7th mission “Libertad Rises”, Dani Rojas is given the option to take a boat and flee to Miami. Of course, the game strongly implies that this is not the correct path to take. However, to activate the alternate ending, the player would have to ignore the “The Guerilla” mission and take the old boat to the dock. Drive the boat close to the edge of the map as if you’re leaving the game world. As you approach the map’s edge, a statement will appear informing you that you are “Leaving Yara. Turn Around !” Ignore it and continue driving towards the very edge. This will eventually result in a scene in which Dani apologizes and says, “I’m sorry, Clara, not my fight,” before the screen fades to black. See what’s like in the clip below.

A cutscene will begin when the screen has faded to black, informing the player that Dani has been living the dream on a beach in Miami for three months. A radio next to Dani says that the conflict in Yara is now over, as Castillo’s soldiers have killed Libertad’s leader Clara Garcia. As the credits begin to roll, Dani appears unfazed by the news and continues to enjoy her sunbathing. It’s a darkly comic conclusion but sure works well with the other Far Cry franchise alternate endings. Furthermore, if you activate Far Cry 6 secret ending, you will receive a Trophy / Achievement at the very least as a reward for your efforts. After witnessing the secret ending, load your save and you’ll be back on the rooftop in Esperanza where you started.

Far Cry 6 PC System Requirements

Ubisoft has released the PC system requirements for the game, and it is more of “see if you can at all run the game than the quality at which you can play the game”. The specs sheet doesn’t reveal the resolution at which you can run the game but does list the frame rates. Moreover, the specifications sheet also omits the quality level that players must use to reach certain frame rates. Far Cry 6 is said to be released on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Series X|S, PC, Google Stadia, as well as Amazon’s Luna platform.

In Far Cry 6, players will be tasked with bringing down an oppressive dictatorship led by Anton Castillo, the game’s main antagonist, who is played by Giancarlo Esposito. Far Cry 6 will be coming in with three separate editions: Standard, Gold, and Ultimate Edition, all available for order.

Super Spoiler!! Vass Cameo

At the end of the post-credit scene, one can hear the conversation between 2 people. One named Juan and the other as “smuggler”. The smuggler’s voice doesn’t need any formal introduction if you are a Far Cry fan. You may recognize the voice as Vaas, Far Cry 3’s most iconic and arguably most popular character. If you have played Far Cry 3, you will probably recall Vaas dying as part of the story. With the seconds’ cameo of Vass, we still don’t know how the future Far Cry games will play out.

However, given that Far Cry 6 takes place in an alternate reality to Far Cry 5’s ending (before the nuke went off), it’s likely that Vaas is still alive here. In any case, it’s just a suggestion. Vaas is said to be making a comeback in Far Cry 6’s season pass DLC, which includes three independent episodes with fellow Far Cry villains Pagan Min and Joseph Seed. At this point, the next Far Cry game may signify a lot of different things.

Far Cry 6 is out and available for grab on all platforms
