Genshin Impact’s UGC Revolution: Inside the Miliastra Wonderland Launch, New Quest Twists, and the Arrival of Nefer
October 12, 2025Genshin Impact players are about to get a game-changing feature: Miliastra Wonderland, the franchise’s first user-generated content system, rolls out on October 22 with Version Luna II. Forget waiting on devs for new dungeons or puzzles. You’ll soon have access to hundreds of player-made Stages to play solo or with friends, and you can dive into creating your own worlds with robust customisation tools.
Miliastra Sandbox, launching alongside Wonderland, gives you the keys to design, build, and share Stages any way you want. Whether you’re after clever combat arenas, clever puzzles, or stylish hangout zones, creators will get full freedom to shape the experience, and the rest of us get a near-limitless playground to explore.
Miliastra Sandbox: Genshin’s Most Ambitious Creation Suite Yet
You’ll start your UGC adventure by making a totally new avatar, then jump into an ever-growing library of hundreds of Stages built by other players. The creation system isn’t just tacked on, either. Customisation options for your avatar mean you can stand out even as you’re exploring or running someone else’s devious gauntlet.
For creators, Miliastra Sandbox offers a full-featured editor to design your own stages from scratch. Once built, your creations can be shared across the community, so every player gets a shot at stardom by inventing the next viral puzzle, battle, or social zone.
This is HoYoverse’s biggest step into creative multiplayer, and it lands just as player interest in customising Genshin Impact’s world is at an all-time high. With so much user-made content on its way, the game’s universe basically becomes endless overnight.
Archon Quest Expands: Secret Foes, Allies, and a Game-Changing 5-Star
The Luna II update is more than just UGC. A major chapter unfolds in the Archon Quest, finally letting fans dig deeper into the mysteries swirling around the enemy Rerir. The stakes are raised, and the support cast is stellar. Longtime favourites team up with wildcards like Arlecchino, Sandrone, Nefer, and even Varka, promising story twists and alliances nobody saw coming.
New stories will keep rolling out as you play, thanks to characters like The Damselette at Silvermoon Hall. She’ll serve as the next quest hub, revealing backstory, offering combat boosts, and rewarding your progress with an exclusive namecard.
Every Genshin patch introduces a new character, and Luna II is no exception. Nefer joins the roster as a 5-star Dendro catalyst wielder, a first in the lineage. She isn’t just a damage-dealer either. Nefer brings new ways to trigger Lunar-Bloom damage and can gather intel as she travels the world, rewarding players with unique anecdotes and secrets for those who take the time to ask the right questions.
If you’re hunting for a support character, Luna II also brings a free Collei via the next big event in Sumeru. There’s no catch; it’s a reward for joining in, giving new and returning players fresh reasons to drop back into the fray.
Life Beyond Genshin: HoYoverse’s Cosy New Project, Petit Planet
One last tidbit for those who can’t get enough of HoYoverse’s worlds. The creators just revealed Petit Planet at the end of last month, a chill life sim for PC and mobile. You’ll build your own tiny world, then blast off to a galaxy full of cutesy NPC-owned planets. The project has no firm launch date yet, but expect the usual blend of polish and addictive progression that made Genshin and Honkai Star Rail stand out.
With player-made content, fresh questlines, a new Sumeru event, and two hotly anticipated characters on the way, Genshin Impact’s next update is setting the gold standard for live-service RPGs this fall.
