The Wolf Among Us Remastered delayed on Switch beyond October 29
October 18, 2026PC, PlayStation and Xbox remain scheduled for October 29, while the timing of the previously announced Switch 2 version is unclear.
The Wolf Among Us Remastered will not launch on Nintendo Switch on October 29, 2026. Telltale has delayed that version to an unannounced date, according to a company statement reproduced by Gematsu. The PC, PlayStation and Xbox editions remain planned for October 29.
What has changed for Switch owners
- Nintendo Switch: Delayed beyond October 29, with no replacement date announced.
- PC, PlayStation and Xbox: Still scheduled to launch on October 29, 2026.
- Nintendo Switch 2: Its release timing has not been clarified.
The statement attributed to Telltale says, “The Nintendo Switch version will follow at a later date.” It also says, “We’ll share an updated release date for the Switch as soon as we can.” No replacement date or specific technical reason accompanies the notice.
That is a change from Telltale’s October 8 launch announcement, which scheduled the digital release for October 29 on PC, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch and Xbox One. Owners of the original Switch should therefore not plan on playing the remaster on that date.
Which versions are still due on October 29?

The delay statement says the game will launch as planned on October 29 for PlayStation, Xbox and PC, as reported by Gematsu. Telltale’s official game page still broadly listed the game as coming to PC and consoles on that date when retrieved, meaning the page did not yet reflect the reported Switch-specific change.
Does the delay affect the Switch 2 version?
There is no confirmed answer. Telltale had previously named Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2, but the newer delay wording refers only to “Nintendo Switch.” Nintendo Life also notes that the statement does not mention Switch 2.
The timing of the Switch 2 edition therefore remains unresolved. The available statement does not establish that it has been delayed, but it also does not confirm that it remains scheduled for October 29.
What has not been confirmed
Telltale has not announced a new release date for the original Switch version or identified the specific issue requiring more development time. The notice also does not address physical retail editions, which the original announcement scheduled for the first quarter of 2027.
The remaster presents the game’s five-episode story with upgrades that include an optional black-and-white Noir Mode. Until Telltale provides another update, the firm planning information for original Switch owners is that the October 29 release date no longer applies to that version.
