Warhammer Survivors Is Real: Vampire Survivors Dev Blesses Official Hordes Game for 2026

Auroch Digital has teamed up with Poncle, the creators of Vampire Survivors, to deliver a licensed rogue-like survival game packed with Warhammer universe heroes and non-stop enemy swarms. This isn’t some distant fandom crossover or sly homage. Both Warhammer and Vampire Survivors execs have officially signed off. It’s the first time you’ll be able to mow down endless waves of Orks, daemons, or skaven across dual iconic universes, Warhammer 40,000 and Warhammer: Age of Sigmar, using a stack of memorable franchise characters.
Two Warhammer Universes, Six Fan-Favourite Characters
When you fire up Warhammer Survivors, you’ll pick your starting allegiance: the grimdark, weapon-clad worlds of Warhammer 40k, or the high-fantasy realms of Age of Sigmar. - Gotrek Gurnisson, a slayer who needs no introduction to veteran fans
- Sharynn Azurwrath, bringing legendary power to the fray
Each hero will carve through tailored mobs and, just like Vampire Survivors, you’ll pick up upgrades, snag loot, and stack overwhelming power as enemy hordes amp up the pressure.
Easter Eggs, Nuln Oil, and a Flood of Franchise Love
This isn’t just a reskin. Warhammer Survivors is loaded with deep cuts and Easter eggs for hardcore fans. The most on-the-nose so far is the inclusion of Nuln Oil, yes, the legendary shade paint every modeller and painter swears by, which now doubles as an in-game item for fending off foes. Expect more playful nods and beloved items to pop up as you explore the game’s unlockable arsenal.
