Origin and Purpose
H’El was basically a clone made out of different Kryptonian DNA, and he was programmed with false memories, so he became an explorer from Krypton. He had a tight connection to Jor-El and Lara, who he saw as his parents. When Jor-El realized that Krypton was about to be destroyed, he built a prototype spaceship and asked H’El to save Krypton’s knowledge and history by taking it to space. It was pretty much the same way that an infant Superman and a young Supergirl were sent away from the planet and managed to survive the destruction of Krypton.
H’El’s journey was a difficult and dangerous one, and he arrived on Earth 27 years after the destruction of Krypton. He was determined to go back in time to try to prevent the destruction. However, his plan could have potentially endangered or even obliterated Earth, bringing him into conflict with Superman and the Justice League.
Why H’El Is the Strongest Kryptonian?
The defining characteristic that catapults H’El into the realm of the extraordinary is his unparalleled strength. In the pages of DC Comics, H’El is portrayed as easily the strongest Kryptonian ever to grace the DC universe. The narrative unfolds as Superman attempts to thwart H’El, only to discover that H’El surpasses not only him but also Supergirl and Superboy in sheer power.
The source of H’El’s immense strength lies in a Quasar event. Basically, it’s like this huge burst of energy from a Black Hole, much stronger than the energy from all the stars in a galaxy combined – times a thousand. His connection to this cosmic force gives him an extraordinary level of power, way beyond that of any other Kryptonian.
As a Kryptonian, H’El has pretty much the same powers as Superman, plus a few extra ones as a result of the Quasar event. He can teleport, move stuff with his mind (telekinesis), read minds (telepathy) and project his astral form – all of which makes him a really tough opponent, with intelligence way beyond his Kryptonian relatives and humans.
H’El Is a Delusional Extremist
H’El may think he’s doing a good thing, but his behaviour shows he’s really a cruel tyrant. He’s willing to do whatever it takes to get what he wants, including using and killing people from different planets. He even looks down on Superman and Supergirl because they represent Earth. H’El saw humans as savage, so he had no qualms about wiping out whole planets – he’s really one of the most intimidating “Neutral Evil” characters out there, and he’ll do or say whatever it takes to get what he wants, even though a lot of his own people would think he’s a monster for it – but he really just wants to go back home and fix his world.
To wrap it up, H’El is an awesome addition to the DC Comics world. His strength as the strongest Kryptonian shakes up the standard and adds an exciting layer to the DC comic’s stories. His Quasar-fueled power makes him like a force of nature, and fans can’t wait to see what’s next for him. In the ever-growing DC Comics universe, H’El is proof of how cool and complex Kryptonians are, and why they keep comic fans all intrigued.
