Springfield Drops Into Fortnite: The Simpsons Battle Royale Takes Over for a Month
November 3, 2025Springfield has landed in Fortnite. After months of speculation and leaks, Epic Games launched its biggest TV crossover yet today: a full-blown Simpsons season that flips the iconic cartoon town into a brand-new playable island.
The Simpsons event is live right now, starting at 4:30 pm ET / 8:30 pm GMT. For the next month, up to 80 players will fight for the win on a Springfield map that brings the classic show to life — Fortnite style. This isn’t just a reskin. Epic says it’s delivering a “fast-paced, back-to-basics Battle Royale experience” that’s all about quick rounds, nostalgia, and cartoon chaos.
The Springfield Map and New Battle Pass
First up, the Springfield map is packed with locations you know by heart:
- The Simpsons’ house
- Moe’s Tavern
- Kwik-E-Mart
- Krusty Burger
- The Android’s Dungeon & Baseball Card Shop
- Springfield Nuclear Power Plant
- Burns Manor
Each spot is ready for looting, firefights, and Easter egg hunts. Expect plenty of references and a few surprises Epic hasn’t teased yet.
Unlocking rewards this season is all about the Springfield Battle Pass. It brings premium skins for Homer, Marge, and Flanders, plus fan-favourite mashups like Blinky Fishstick and Springfielder Peely. These are the kinds of skins fans have been asking for since Fortnite’s first cartoon crossovers.
Each week during the event, Epic will add new Simpsons-themed gameplay, fresh shop offerings, and more. The collaboration isn’t a one-and-done: it’s a rolling celebration with content updates to keep things fresh all month long.
Original Simpsons Shorts and Cross-Game Surprises
Epic hasn’t stopped at just bringing Springfield to Fortnite. To push the collab even further, four brand-new Simpsons shorts will drop throughout the event, co-produced by Grace Films and Epic Games themselves.
You can watch them on Disney+, Fortnite’s social channels, and right inside the game via the Quests tab on November 1, 10, 17, and 24. Each short sets the narrative for the week’s in-game updates, helping players dive deeper into the world Epic built for this crossover.
There’s more for crossover collectors. If you link your Epic account with Disney before February 28, 2026, you’ll snag Kang and Kodos’ ship as a glider, one of the most iconic UFOs from Simpsons lore.
The blocky side of Fortnite is getting in on the fun, too. Lego Fortnite’s BrickLife is launching a Simpsons-themed event, with Krusty Burger apparently going head-to-head with the iconic Durrr Burger. If you play in both Lego and standard Fortnite, expect plenty of Simpsons inside jokes and maybe even a food fight or two.
Sidekicks, Rocket League Tie-Ins, and More
This Simpsons season also marks the debut of Sidekicks, ally pets that stick by your side as you play. The first: Peels, a banana dog inspired by the classic Peely skin, is included with the Springfield Battle Pass.
Other Sidekicks like Bonesy, Spike, and Lil’ Raptor will roll out in the shop on November 7. Sidekicks aren’t just for Battle Royale; you’ll see them in Lego Fortnite and other modes, adding a new layer to how you play with friends (and cartoon pets).
Rocket League is jumping on the Simpsons crossover. Players can tackle Simpsons-themed challenges to unlock the Blinky Topper, Homer’s Hedges Player Banner, Waste Wheels, and grab Homer’s Car from the shop. This is more than just a skin drop; it’s one of the most ambitious, multi-game events Epic has pulled off to date. Whether you’re dropping into the Nuclear Power Plant or building in BrickLife, Springfield is taking over Fortnite this month.
