Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls Gets Uninterrupted Beta with Ghost Rider and Spider-Man
November 13, 2025Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls is giving beta testers exactly what they asked for: an uninterrupted shot at the highly-anticipated fighter, and a chance to try out Ghost Rider and Spider-Man in action. This all-new closed beta kicks off December 5 and will run straight through for 72 hours. No segmented test periods, no surprise shutdowns. If you want in, you’ll need to register via the official PlayStation beta site, just like last time.
Fans Get a Fix: No More Staggered Beta Windows
The first closed beta left plenty of hopefuls frustrated, breaking the action into chunks and cutting players off just as they found their rhythm. These interruptions were a “major point of frustration for early players,” and developer Arc System Works seems to have heard every cry. This time, fans can dive in whenever they please during the full three-day window, and really grind to their heart’s content.
What’s new: Two fresh stages and the headline additions: swinging in comes Spider-Man, while Ghost Rider blazes onto the battlefield. You’ll see them both unleashed in the latest gameplay trailer, with snippets of their special moves and super attacks already setting fighting game fans buzzing. It’s worth noting that this beta looks a lot like the Evo France build. The key difference: at Evo, you could only play the new characters. Here, the experience should feel more complete.
Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls’ Beta Lobby Opens

This round of testing isn’t just about new fighters and arenas. For the first time, the lobby system is part of the package. Testers can now wander through a bustling social hub between matches; think more “arcade” than sterile menu screens. It’s designed for connecting, chatting, and building hype before the next fight.
If you’re still unsure what all these upgrades mean, take a look at Eurogamer’s hands-on preview. They call Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls “a visual carnival, a celebration of comic books, movement, and wall-to-wall action.” This is a fighter chasing spectacle, bringing the kinetic energy of Marvel comics, and its expanding roster, to the sticks.
Want to get your hands on Ghost Rider’s flame-whip combos or Spider-Man’s high-flying acrobatics? Sign up for the December 5 beta and see if you’re selected. This time, you’ll have three full days to put the new builds through their paces, with no forced timeouts to break your flow.
