Xbox has announced the official Forza Horizon 6 Limited Edition wireless controller and headset, both releasing on 19 May 2026 alongside the new game for Xbox Series X/S and PC, after retailer leaks earlier in the month. Pre-orders are now live for both accessories, priced at $89.99 for the controller and $134.99 for the headset.

Xbox confirmed today that its latest hardware partnership with Forza Horizon 6 includes two limited edition accessories: the Xbox Wireless Controller: Forza Horizon 6 Limited Edition and the Xbox Wireless Headset: Forza Horizon 6 Limited Edition. Both peripherals debut on 19 May 2026, coinciding with Forza Horizon 6’s release for Xbox Series X/S and PC. The controller and headset were both leaked ahead of time, but received official confirmation via the Xbox Wire blog. Pre-orders opened immediately following the announcement.

The headset introduces custom Forza Horizon 6 sound effects for turning the headset on and off, pairing devices, and muting or unmuting the microphone, setting it apart from standard models.

Both the Forza Horizon 6 wireless controller and headset will be released globally on 19 May 2026, the same day as Forza Horizon 6’s launch for Xbox Series X/S and PC. Pre-orders are live through official Xbox channels and participating retailers.

The Forza Horizon 6 headset marks only the second limited edition headset released for the Xbox Series X/S platform, following the Starfield edition. Xbox’s last Forza controller, themed for Forza Horizon 5 in 2021, featured a translucent yellow case with pink and blue splatters, referencing the Horizon Festival.

Early impressions for Forza Horizon 6 indicate strong anticipation within the gaming press. In a hands-on preview, VGC reported: “If the rest of the game is as good as the small taste I’ve played, we’re potentially looking at one of the year’s best.” The preview went on to say, “We’ll have a review of the full game nearer to its release, but at this stage everything’s on track to give Forza Horizon 5 a run for its money and take over pole position as the best open-world racing game around.”

Podcasts and editorial discussions have raised the prospect of Forza Horizon 6 as a Game of the Year contender, with players and critics alike eager to see how the limited edition peripherals tie into the broader launch experience.

With its limited edition design, exclusive features, and direct ties to launch-day excitement, the Forza Horizon 6 controller and headset are positioned as collector must-haves for Xbox and racing fans. These new accessories reinforce Forza’s place as a marquee franchise in the 2026 gaming calendar.
