Black Myth: Wukong is packed with hidden bosses, and one of the most thrilling encounters is the Black Loong, a secret Yaoguai King boss found in Chapter 2. If you’re looking for powerful crafting materials and an epic challenge, here’s how to track down and defeat this hidden dragon.

How to Find Black Loong

Black Loong’s lair is hidden behind a waterfall of sand in the Fright Cliff, but to access it, you’ll need a key item called the Loong Scales, which can be found elsewhere in Chapter 2. The journey to unlock this item involves battling several tough foes and navigating complex terrain.

To begin, head to Sandgate Village, where you’ll face off against the King of Flowing Sand and his sons. After dealing with this boss, proceed to the Valley of Despair, where your goal is to find the secret item that will unlock Black Loong’s lair.

Once in the Valley of Despair, keep an eye out for a lower platform near a red wall lined with statues. If you’ve already fought and defeated the King of Flowing Sand, his son, the First Rat Prince, will appear. Alternatively, you can summon the First Rat Prince using a Pungent Flesh Chunk.

While battling the First Rat Prince, lure him into performing a slam attack near the wall, creating a crack. If you’re unable to get him to crack the wall, you can use a powerful attack, such as the Azure Dust Transformation Spell, to break it open yourself. Behind the cracked wall, you’ll find a chest containing the Loong Scales.

Reaching Black Loong’s Lair

Now that you’ve obtained the Loong Scales, it’s time to find Black Loong. Head to the Fright Cliff, located on the opposite side of Yellow Wind Ridge. Your destination is a hidden shrine known as the Rockrest Flat Shrine. Just to the right of this shrine is a stairway leading to a waterfall of sand that, without the Loong Scales, would be impassable. With the scales, you can interact with the sandfall and remove it, revealing a hidden door to Black Loong’s lair.
