Square Enix has confirmed that the final entry in the Final Fantasy VII Remake Series will launch on PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox Series X|S and PC on the same day. The PC release will be available through Steam, the Epic Games Store and Xbox on PC, according to Square Enix’s official announcement.
The simultaneous release is the main practical detail for players choosing a platform: Square Enix has announced one date for all of the listed systems rather than separate console and PC dates. The publisher has not yet detailed platform-specific performance modes, visual features or regional launch times. What the State of Play footage confirms
The newly detailed exploration systems include flying the Highwind, travelling and fighting alongside the chocobo Piko, using a grappling gun and switching active characters or party members while exploring. Combat adds the FITS system, which has four named specialisations: Warrior, Knight, Black Mage and Summoner. Each role provides a distinct move set, according to the official PlayStation post. Queen’s Blood is also returning with a new storyline centred on Red XIII.
