Hell Is Us Switch 2 release date delayed again to October 27

Hell Is Us is now scheduled to arrive on Nintendo Switch 2 on October 27, 2026. The new target replaces October 8, moving the Switch 2 version back by 19 days and marking its second public postponement. The Hell Is Us team announced the change on September 25, citing logistical and distribution issues outside its control.
October 27 is the newest Hell Is Us Switch 2 date
Players should treat October 27 as the current announced release date. There was still a mismatch on one first-party storefront when checked on September 26: Nintendo France’s Hell Is Us product page continued to list October 8 for both the Standard and Deluxe editions.
The French listing therefore appeared not to have caught up with the newer announcement. It does not establish the status of other regional eShops, retailers, pre-orders or physical delivery dates.
Why the second delay is different
The latest postponement should not be confused with the earlier Switch 2 delay. Nacon’s official May release-date video originally set a September 24, 2026 launch for the platform. The game was subsequently moved from September 24 to October 8 because September was described as a particularly busy month for game releases, as reported by Nintendo Life. The original September 24 date remains visible in Nacon’s announcement video.
This time, the stated reason is logistics and distribution, not a crowded release calendar. The announcement does not identify the distributor, affected territories or specific logistical problem.
The major update is moving too
The major update planned for Hell Is Us on all platforms has also been shifted to October 27. According to the team’s statement, that move is intended to ensure everyone receives the same experience at the same time.
The team also said the Switch 2 build is complete and stable and that there are no technical issues with the port. That is the team’s own characterization rather than independent performance testing, so it should not be read as a substitute for hands-on evidence once the game is available.
For now, the practical change is straightforward: anyone waiting specifically for the Switch 2 edition should plan around October 27, 2026, rather than October 8.
